Creative/Literary Non-fiction

I read the short story Candy by Diane Seuss. In this short story, Seuss makes excellent use of literary devices that captivate the reader from start to finish. The story is about how much our view of love and relationships can change in the transition from adolescence to adulthood. The use of imagery, simile, and allusion in this story of young love was stunning and really told the tale of what went on in the narrator's mind during her first experiences kissing a boy. Candy is a very intriguing and pleasing story.
